Just because summer is over doesn’t mean the RV has to be left out of all the Halloween season’s spooky fun! Whether you’re in an RV park, touring the States, or into spooky camping, there are some fun tips and tricks to getting your RV ready for the season.
When it’s time to decorate your RV for Halloween, dig into the decorations that you already have at home and build from there. Make sure to include pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns. Now, since you many be moving your RV around, carved pumpkins may not be the most long-lasting decoration, but there are still ways to have fun with pumpkins without carving. There are many kits out there that are meant for pumpkin painting! This extends the life of your pumpkins while allowing for easy repositioning inside or outside with the same amount of creativity put in.
Many folks like to have string lights around the outside and inside of their RVs, and a simple way to switch it up for Halloween season is to find yourself some ghoulish and ghostly lanterns and lights. The number of shapes that exist for string lights have made decorating practical and seasonal. More indoor decorations that can be utilized just like you would at home include festive throw pillows, decked out linens, and maybe a few decorative gourds to go along with your painted pumpkins.
If you are in an RV park, you may be getting some trick-or-treaters coming by, and it’s always wonderful to have a fun display to help make their Halloween night as much of a fun experience as it is to go home with all those yummy treats.
Here are a couple of ideas to get you started:
- What about a spooky graveyard for this year’s theme? Grab some of those made for the front yard headstones, a few garden variety body parts to stick in the ground, and maybe even a fog machine, to set the mood to SPOOKY!
- Don’t have a lot of space? Well, maybe even turn your RV into its own decoration! Decals can help turn the front of your RV into the face of Frankenstein’s monster, a ghoul, or even a mummy! Easily removable if you are on the road and if not, low maintenance, and still festive!
